As REIMAGINE continues to grow and evolve with each iteration — November 18’s virtual conference being the eleventh — it has remained on the cutting edge of blockchain and cryptocurrency: putting on a conference through the internet during the worst days of the COVID-19 pandemic through today, where we go in-person for the interviews: no more ZOOM calls! That addition, while ground-breaking, isn’t by any means the biggest innovation or announcement to come out of REIMAGINE V11.
Our staff has been searching for the perfect host for the #1 conference bringing together all of the biggest names in the blockchain and crypto space. As REIMAGINE readies to turn the corner into 2022, it almost seemed an insurmountable task: who could personify the space and work so well on a conference stage — even one that’s virtual? Thankfully, we met Mutant Ape #452 from Bored Ape Yacht Club at an event recently in New York City and we’re delighted to announce it as the host of REIMAGINE V11!
For the first time in history, a Mutant Ape #452 will host REIMAGINE and appear alongside some of the largest names in the cryptocurrency sphere, including Bill Barhydt from Abra Global, Elizabeth Mathew from ConsenSys, Mark Yusko from Morgan Creek Capital Management and Alexei Falin from Rarible. Topics covered will include a full day talking NFTs — what they are, what they’re for and how they hold value; DAOs — how they can be used, how they may be disruptive; and El Salvador’s recent bitcoin adoption.

Mutant Ape #452 is a born influencer and community leader, having done extensive work in the past with Meta Ape Studios as well as its subsidiaries: Meta Ape Music, Meta Ape Movies and Meta Ape TV! Having worked with such incredible brands in the past made it seem like such an obvious fit for our prestigious conference. Mutant Ape #452 will also be able to bring his deep knowledge of the Bored Ape community, as well as information from the crypto space across the Metaverse.
First introduced to cryptocurrencies while working on his master’s thesis at Carnegie Mellon University in 2013, Mutant Ape #452 was fascinated for not just all the usual reasons — a solution to the double-spend problem, as well as actual scarcity and intrinsic value — but also for the ideas of community it could bring. Not knowing much of the technology behind blockchain, Mutant Ape #452 kept tabs on the community ever since and around 2017 got involved full-time after working at a spate of startups.
Prior to working in cryptocurrency, Mutant Ape #452 was a consultant at several startup accelerators throughout the early 2010s, working mostly outside of the tech sphere with digital ownership and marketing. As NFTs began to make their way outside of the deepest of programming dens, Mutant Ape #452 from the Bored Ape Yacht Club finally took the plunge: with several other Apes, he started Meta Ape Studios in early 2020.
Besides producing all manner of NFTs, Meta Ape Studios is a media empire, working to carve out a large chunk of the Metaverse for the Apes. Mutant Ape #452’s passion for NFTs is contagious and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for REIMAGINE V11!
